The Place / 2023 gasgas mc 450 thoughts / XACT suspension

Well,  I should not be doing this but looking into possible options of either the Gas
gas 450,  Honda 450R or possibly another KTM.  I like the price of the gasgas,  I can get a new one for 7k   Anyone one of them would need suspension work.   Has anyone ridden one or owns one?  Also for the WP XACT suspension,  Who does good work for riding tracks.  I really don't want to drop the money for a kyb conversion kit.

I know a few of you have dual sport or adv bikes.   There is an even coming that's pretty fun.  Team based, to go to poi on a map for points.  Terrain ranges from green (easy) to double diamond (not easy) stuff  There are courses, just marks on a map, you need to figure out how to get there.  Villopoto was there last year

They have demo's also.  The Harley was shocking, how fast and comfortable it was.  It was right there with the Ducati Multistrada.  I'll be out there all 3 days   Let me know if anyone is interested

Meeting in Ramona Main Street Coffee shop at 6:00 pm, ride up the trail and enjoy the sunset, then ride down in the dark.  Weather should be great.

Offroad Adventures / Shifty, FV or any other Dual sport/ ADV guys WYBDR??

Any interest. In riding the new Wyoming Backcountry Discovery Route?   Looks like we are just starting to plan to do this.  It appears we have a ranch to stay out for a day or 2.    Bikes so far going KTM 690, Husky 701, KTM 790.   Maybes are KLR650 and a GS1150

My buddy wants to go this summer but that is kind of pushing the prep imo, possibly next year but open for either one.

We are looking late July or as late as September,  We have a class A RV and a large enclosed trailer to transport up and back  Let me know if you guys are interested, we can go into more detail and iron out schedules that work for everyone.

As we all know weather changes all the time but as of today it shows promising  Last time I posted a video a few people hit me up and wanted to know when I go again.  If the weather holds with rain at the bottom which is Hemet and snow up top which is Idyllwild it makes for a very scenic ride.  MX bikes, couches, SxS's etc at all allowed.   It's a truck trail with a ton of banked switchbacks, certain sections are very much like a rollercoaster.  Let me know if anyone is interested in going.

Offroad Adventures / Last time I posted pics I had a few ppl say they want to go snow at Bee Canyon

As of now Monday 12/28 a storm in coming and weather shows 6" of snow dropping Monday.  If it does not change, I would like to go
MX bikes, SxS etc are allowed up the trail.

Anyone interested?  If the storm passes. I will also pass becuase I am also riding Tuesday
