I’d start with the fuel pump/ fuel pump relay and the wiring that goes to it.

i wouldn't if i had a diesel, but a regular gas motor will run it no problem. i've done it forever.

Most street bikes, especially older ones will run hot when sitting in traffic. My 2001 Gixxer did it all the time. As long as it's not overheating and blowing out fluid, you're probably fine. You can also try a different fan switch that will kick in sooner at lower temp. Mine used to scare me at the temp level it would reach, but would never hit red. I left it alone and never had a problem

Not sure about the brass piece, but the other one is definitely PCD's cock ring. Hope this helps
