Zip tie on forks.
« on: May 10, 2022, 03:34:38 PM »
Help me out peeps.  Put a zip tie on a fork leg and it is stopping about 1 1/4 inches above the very bottom.  Stock Kayaba's on a CR 125.  Is that about full stroke or should I be getting to the bottom?

First off take off the zip tie. I've seen them damage seals.

The cap will hit the chrome tube before the internals bottom. Usually about 1/2 in from bottom.

If overall feel is good on the fork then adjust oil height to allow the fork to go deeper in the stroke.

Has the bike had a suspension service recently? Trying to tune worn out suspension doesn't always net good results.
