kx suspension interchanging

I picked up an 04 kx250 smoker that's turning out to be a basket case. The bike has the incorrect forks and shock on it.

My question is..are the 2004 kx250f forks the same diameter as the 2 stroke??? I know the newer 250f ones are different but I am unsure of the same year 250f forks. Can anyone confirm?

Also, Same question for the shock? What year 250f stuff can I use?

Not sure of the interchanging but I have clamps and forks and a shock off 09 -12 kx250f...great shape and best price your gonna find

from the info I've gathered. the newer forks/clamps require welding a new steering stop onto my frame and exchanging/modifying the 250f stem.. a bit more work than i'm capable of. Id much rather have the new stuff but just too much is involved

 ....good luck in your search bud! If the shock works let me know...you won't find  one cheaper in better shape!

I'm almost certain they're the same.  I know the 04 125 and 250F share forks, albeit with different springs and valving.

Well in that case I neee to find some 04 kx250f forks then! Anyone know if the shock is the same too??
