Fast Pro on a Kawi at Chaney Ranch

Was at Chaney ranch on Friday and seen some guy flying on a Kawi 450.  They say Saturday he will be double the speed.   Had a #27 on the bike.

Yeah I'm super bummed.   Finally being back at home is awesome but recovery has been a bitch so far.

I hope all the CAL Fire guys had a blast as this was a ride day for them!

A rock on the Vet track took me out.  Jammed between my chain and rear sprocket in a deep inside rutted turn, locked my rear wheel and put me on the ground.

Crash of the day, however was Pingree on the main.  I saw the video and it looked reeeealy bad.  Someone said his engine shut down and that is what caused it.  He was essentially right at the max height on the big step up in the center of the track when his front wheel dropped and he stepped over the bars.  Hope he is OK.

He got up on his own and walked away from it. I was right there when it happened. He had full motion in his arm and fingers but he said it was numb. Went to the hospital to get checked out, but I have no idea how he is today.

Yes, that was me and I know you roosted it at me on purpose.  LOL.  But I almost died after the flat landing and a tad whiskey throttle over the berm.

But had a great time.  Glad a lot of Pro-Riders made it out.  What was really cool, was all the families.  Fishing, shooting and riding, with 75 degree temperatures is pretty dam cool. Thanks again to all that came out.  I think I need to BBQ next year.


Also would love some pics from you guys. Pics of family, riding, camp spots and all the fishing pics.  Also any drone or short videos.
