Did anyone know the rider who passed away at Cahuilla on Sunday? I have a last name of Barrett.

A friend of my youngest Son Kyle was the first one to him, said he was lying in the track. He did CPR but could not revive him. They closed the track, awaiting the coroner.
He also sent me this, maybe it will mean something to someone.

Freds, I can say with absolute certainty that your son's friend was not the first on the scene.

They didn't try to fly him to a trauma center?

This guy was parked next to me in the morning.  Said he was from Rosarito Mex.  I worried about him right of the bat because he said he had not been on a track (other than the vet track last week) in twenty years. He was eager to try to main.  It's just really sad.

While it's always sad to see a fellow rider pass on, Kyle and I were talking about it and agreed that since we all have to go sometime, there's a lot to be said for going out while turning laps at Cahuilla Creek MX.   8)
I may just make that request to the big guy.

You guys might soon hear there is much more to this story that is under investigation. Itís real strange but it could lead to a bigger issue. Let the investigation play out and see if itís true.
