Great bike, congrats. I got a used 2017 sx 150 about 1 1/2 years ago. It had a Bill's pipe and silencer on it. I put on a Lectron Carb, V-FORCE 4 reed set up and added a 8 oz fly wheel.
I did the 60/1 mix with Motul no problems. The previous owner ran Did the first rebuild at 30 hrs everything look great. I trying around a 40/1 Motul premix now to see how this next rebuild goes, mainly because I read while the piston, rings and cylinder may look fine the lower end might be taking a beating.
Bike runs great absolutely no hesitation running through the power band. Put the Lectron on over a year ago and haven't touched it. It is exactly the same as when it came out of the box. Got the V-FORCE 4 reed set up because the stock reed set up didn't close completely. Seems to work ok. Put the fly wheel on because i planned to do some GPs and maybe some other offroad stuff. It works great don't even notice it's there except the power is extremely smooth for a small 2 smoker. Race MX most of the time and I think it really helps keeping traction and preventing stalling. Love the bike and haven't done anything to the suspension except play with the all the settings and that seems to keep it handling just fine.
If I keep this bike much longer I may get a Recluse clutch for it. Had the original Recluse on my 04 CRF 250 and really liked how it worked. If they come out with electric start on a sx 150 I'd go for that. Maybe get the KTM XC-W 150 that has it already and do the same mods to it that is on my sx150 now. Only do that if they never do the electric start to the sx 150.
You can't beat a sub 200 lb bike with 40-45 hp.
