Prado update
« on: June 14, 2018, 06:52:25 PM »

I got this from Brett today:

We are still in the Scoping period of the review.  We got everyone’s comments, and the people that draft the Environmental Document are reviewing the comments, and researching all of the concerns and addressing them.   We’re still a while off, the Environmental review portion, takes a while.

Thanks,

Brett

I work in the environmental field as a clean-up engineer and have some experience with the impact assessment process.
As much as I want this thing to go, I'm pretty pessimistic about it's chances.
Take something that's 99% good, and the 1 percenters will win every time.

Maybe the moto 1%'ers need to get involved to speed up the process.

This is indeed the sad reality of the world we live in..... I was involved in the entire Lake Elsinore project from concept on a napkin, to drawing the facility map and getting the initial grading permit...It took 5 yrs and a lot of money and the only reason it was successful is that we were able to piggy back on an EIR that had been done for the skydive/airport next door....and we paid a "consultant" to help get the Army Corps of Engineers to sign off.....

There will be a point in time soon where riders will have the opportunity to speak to the counci.  I wouldn’t worry yet about the other red tape.

I’ll let you know when I can. I’m not holding out. It’s progressing slowly as all things dirt bike /  hoodlum do...

I say we get Trump to sign an executive order so we can ride close to home.

We can start by voting for a Republican Governor and stop the Liberal stampede that's helped trash the state.
