WP AER48 topic
« on: May 11, 2018, 03:18:16 PM »
I love the things for the light weight feel and especially bottoming resistance pillow feel. What kind of settings do you use? Just for comparison.
me- weight 210, age- old (SSEN) Offroad A/EX ( maybe on a good day INT MX) set by the WP book for my weight rear spring 2 rates up from stock to 4.9kg/mm-48N/mm, @ 35mm/105mm static/race sag. And by the WP book my forks should be at 10 bar which is 147 PSI but I usually run closer to 9.7-142.5 psi for the trails and even at H&H we ride and race. Husky TX300 is the machine. I have been thinking to go with balance recommendation of the WP tech sheets and go for 10 bar and open up my comp up front .

I went with MXA's settings and set sag at 105 on my 350.  At first I started off with the manual settings and the forks were a bit harsh on hard hits.  Now,  they are feeling more plush.

2017 KTM 350SXF (stock specs are in parentheses):Spring rate: 140 psi (154 psi)
Compression: 20 clicks out (12 clicks out)
Rebound: 15 clicks out (12 clicks out)
Fork-leg height: Third line
Notes: Slower or lighter riders might have to lower the oil height in the damping leg by 10mm or more to get full travel (although we have had good luck with them lowering the air pressure as low 133 psi. Additionally, pay attention to extreme temperature changes,

My forks: 141psi, 11-12 rebound, 20-25 comp. I've got the quick-bleeds and
use them constantly, it helps.
Shock: 105-106/40mm sag on stock spring, (I'm 175 lbs., +60 exp.)
rebound: 11-12, hsc: 1/8-1/4 turn out lsc: 15
