Tusk, Warp 9 wheels??

Just discovered a cracked front rim(05 kx 250)changing a tube.

Are tusk/warp 9 quality rims,or is it one of those you get what you pay for deals?? Any reviews appreciated.

50 hard hours off road , big6 and moto ....they obviously aren't excels but they never cracked and I would buy them again. Oh ya...ours was a tusk set. I have heard / read warp9 is garbage.

Ok, good to hear. I think I'll spring for a tusk wheel. Mostly good reviews on Rocky Mountain also. Stock spokes right?

A buddy laced some hoops up to his stock hubs/spokes on his 14 crf450r so I think you'll be ok but not 100 % sure. If you end up going that route let me know, I can get  you a break on rm price.

Tusk are good altho not light like excel wheels
Just keep a eye out on spoke tension

Warp9 is garbage.  The spokes break and the rim tacos before it even gets close to cracking.

Erokins ran the Tusk rims and had no problems with the rims, he said the bearing wore out a little faster then Stock.  So my next set of rims will be the Tusk

I have the Tusk wheel sets and am happy with them. One good thing is that they use OEM spokes and bearings, so replacements are not a problem. If the Tusk wheels get dinged up, I can lace up A60's to the Tusk hubs no problem.

MXA has used Tusk wheels in several of their rebuilds and have said good things about them.
