The Triumph sounded badass and raspy from the videos I watched. We'll see how the super secret trick frame with "just the right amount of flex" looks at race speed through the whoops.  :)

No one predicted AP7 would have the red plate 2 weeks in a row that's for sure, great season !

AND HE ACTUALLY LOOKS DIFFERENT/FAST THIS YEAR.  THE RACING IN 450 2 I THINK, SEVEN FAST DUDES DUKING IT OUT FROM LIKE 4th THRU 11th WAS SOMETHING WE HAVEN't SEEN SINCE I DON't KNOW WHEN...

Detroits next, isn't that where he tossed his first win last year when he hooked his toe and got yanked off the back ? You know he wants redemption.

And yeah 7 or more fast guys all due for a win makes it fun to watch.  And 7 different brands of bikes, I guess 8 if Triumph shows up ?
Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, KTM, Beta, Gas Gas and now Triumph ?  RC's going to be yaking up the Triumph if they do dhow up

I thought Jett would be the flat out fastest but when Tomac went into beast mode in the last moto at A2 all Jett had for him was donuts
Going to be a fun season I hope they all stay healthy

Glad he's ok, it looked nasty from where we were. (right above the start on the west side) I watched the flagger at the base of the takeoff stand there looking at the riders coming at him instead of trying to get a visual from the flagger on the backside of the landing. Hope he was enjoying the race while guys were landing on each other after they passed him. Duuuur dude wake up.  :x

It didn't really show on the broadcast but the flagging at San Diego was way off from where it needs to be. First 250 race a guy came up short on the finish line double, the first guy plowed him, not a lot they could have done to prevent that but then like 4 more guys piled up into the pile. The flagger on the takeoff was standing there with the flag by his side. Also noticed a lack of blue flags as the leaders came by. Hope they figure it out. Either with radio communication or lights or something. Yeah I'm critical of flaggers...  :x

I think the AMA made a bigger deal of it than was necessary, there's a lot of pressure on that 20 year old kid. I used to get cussed out everytime I passed a guy back in the day, and it was on videotape. The AMA did nothing about that.

Chucky

FAWKIN CHUCKY !!!!

Not a good look for Jett. He’s looking like the AMA’s golden boy who can do no wrong. He admitted he instigated the confrontation but still only JA got fined. What a crock. Edit : Nevermind, missed Jett for some reason.

Did a 4:00 ride at WWX today, didn't get too dark until the very end.  Did Rage, Backdraft, Spitfire, Waterworx then Machete.  It wasn't until the end of Machete that it was dark, but I had my lights to finish off the ride

Cougar sightings ?

I became his pool guy through this board. He was fun to work with and be around, always positive. The guy was pretty amazing, his list of accomplishments is impressive. Good dude who loved his dogs. 12 days notice is a pretty harsh reality to fathom. But from my time hanging around him I'm sure whatever's next after this life, he's handling it in stride. One more reminder that everyday's a gift. RIP Bill ! Until we meet again.

Dang,  from his fb page,

Hello Friends of Bill Hays, this is his sister Toni Saarinen.
It's with a heavy heart I share the news that Bill passed away about 2am this morning, just 12 days after being diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer.
He did not want to share this with anyone while he was alive and he did not want a pity party of any kind.
We talked about all his accomplishments and he said he had no regrets, he'd done most everything he'd wanted to do. It was just ending way too soon.
He was an instrument rated private pilot, owned the boat Triton for 20+ years, Scuba Diver, Off Road Racer, Skilled Drone Pilot and Photographer, Musician (and recently a singer on his last album) as well as being a Personal Injury Attorney primarily for OC Firemen and Policemen for 20+ years. I think he may have had a photographic memory.
We started 34 North Solutions together 3 years ago and he helped me learn aviation maps, FAA rules & regulations and pass my FAA Part 107 license. We teamed up with his 34 North Drones e-commerce store and I’m going to do my best to keep both of those alive.
He also said NO service, however, I’d like to create something in the semi near future where his friends can gather to share stories and tales about my particularly special, unique and accomplished brother.
Love you Billy ❤️ RIP xoxo 3/13/58 -1/18/24 💔❤️‍🩹❤️
