Oils cheap engines are expensive.... every 5 hours when not racing or after every race weekend. I need to change my riding style I keep tearing up clutches still ride like I'm on a two stroke.

I've been using a Go Pro for years. or should I say my son has, which model helmet cams offer the most for the money and what is everyone using these days? I like the newer features with GPS, segment times, speed and elevation.

They always have a nice layout and I usually ride whatever race they hold early 40+ or 50+. You end up with more seat time than any day of moto and you're done before 12:00. My friends are kicking my ass out there right now need to pick up the pace.

I ran the SRA GP this weekend on the first lap someone went down in the sand in front of me and I had nowhere to go I managed to miss running him over but went down myself. When I picked up my bike the Clutch lever had punched through my handguard and wouldn't allow the clutch to release fully it took me 2 minutes to pull them apart and get going again.... frustrating .... Just when you think you've seen it all. I'm really enjoying these GP's, needed to mix it up after so many years of just moto. I'll be trying to catch Desto this weekend out at 29 Palms for the Big Six.

This was from last month. I'm pretty sure the layout is the same.

MX tech talk / Re: 16' YZ450 turning

I have a 2015 YZ450 with a Dubach relocation kit not sure how much the kit helped because i was constantly searching to get it to turn without getting head shake in the fast sections. I'm staying with 105mm SAG, fork height about 3mm (5mm was suggested) and I run a little stiffer on my fork compression. I ride a lot at LACR and Cal City MX and this set up works well at both tracks. I didn't touch anything for Glen Helen this weekend and was really happy.

racerxx, you run the stock 22mm clamps? How bout a Rad lowering kit?

Just saw this a little slow with the reply. I have the stock triple clamps haven't tested any other offset.  I installed the radiator lowering kit TWICE the lowering brackets break pretty easy when you have a get off. I rode gronjo71's stock 14 YZ450 and didn't notice much difference between his and mine I think for me it was more about learning how to get the front wheel waited then all the little tweaks I made. Coming off a YZ250 two stroke it took a while to learn how to make the bike corner. Can't wait to give a 19 a spin maybe this weekend at Cal City MX

I went with 13/48 I couldn't find my Vortex sprocket in a 53 tooth. I did replace the and chain guide and cut down the slider slightly to reduce drag. A new chain helps to free things up also. It was too close to Mammoth to start testing chains and sprockets and I was a little worried about how close the chain would be to the cases it's in there pretty tight with a 13 tooth.

Nice find might give it a try they were saying the drag on the chain is enough to stand you up in the corners.
