Frank posted a message on FB. Apparently he was told today that there was a scheduling conflict and REM could not race.

I don't know, but Ralph, Jeff and and Ricky don't bother me much. Yes, they make mistakes, but they have put themselves in a position that they get paid to be at the races while we only get to watch on TV or at the stadiums behind some idiot drunks that don't even know what SX is.

I could not do their job, and for the most part neither can most of you.

Well, after watching the 3rd moto a few times, you could see that Eli was really on it. But JS did not just let ET pass him on the last lap, JS had already looked back a couple of times and you could tell that he was slowing down. Yes, ET was flying, but there was no way he would of caught JS straight out at that point if JS would of kept going as fast as he was going until the last 2 laps.

Like it's been said before, giving the go ahead hand signal was too much, but, at leat to me, JS did the best possible thing he could of done. Why deprive someone of a big payoff when neither you or anyone else has a chance at it or even at the 100k. Now, if JS would of been blocking someone that had a chance at winning so his friend or teammate could win, then that would be a different story.

And, yes, ET got somewhat of a gift, but he did put himself in that possition by winning the first 2 motos straight up and having to pass some obstacles like MS who was riding really well, but basically holding ET up for 3 laps because of the track being pretty hard to pass on.

Overall, I really enjoyed the main races as well as the 250 and super minis.

Not easy going at racing speeds at an actual race after being off for 4 years. Even he mentioned that in one of the interviews.

REM will be holding their usual Octobercross race on the National track at Glen Helen on Sat Oct 28th. This is the weekend before the Dubya World Vet MX Championships. That means you have a chance to race on basically the same track as for the World Vets.

So if you are planning to race the World Vet, then this is a chance to be on the track under actual racing conditions. If you are not racing the World Vet, then it is a great time to race on the Nat track instead of the REM track with your friends and competitors. Either way, it's always a lot of fun.

So mark your calendars and come on out ad have fun.

SoCal OTMX will be at Cahuilla this coming Sunday, 10/14. They will be racing on the vet track.

Weather for the weekend looks great right now with sunny skies and high is the low 70's.

For those of you camping, the lows for Sat night are showing at 48f, so pretty good sleeping weather.

I was there roaming around. Then went in the back to the offroad section and watched the Jeeps and offroad buggies play on the rocks. Fun day.

I don't particularly care for the pyramid bumps, which in my opinion can be more dangerous than we give them credit for, specially when they can launch you into a 20' flat landing. And it's not a matter of just change, as I would get really bored with a track if it never changed. Change is good in most cases, but sometimes not so much.

Funny how some replies are made from individuals that either don't ride tracks much, complain about tracks themselves, or both  :D

The Place / Proride day get together date & location in Nov
« on: September 26, 2018, 08:42:09 AM »
So went to Perris with Racerray to check it out, and it's still the most centrally located track for most. The main track layout was really good, even for an old dude like me.

So Perris is the location

As far as the date is concerned, Racerray looked up at the schedules for Nov, and the only Sat that can work, where there are no conflicting races or other issues is Sat, Nov 10th.

I know this conflicts with some members, but it seems to be the date with the least conflicts.

So Sat, Nov 10th at Perris is the date and location.

If anyone has any connections for stuff to raffle off or maybe BBQ, let me know. Also, if you guys are interested in purchasing T-Shirts, I'll find out about getting some made.
Since I can't guarantee the number of riders that will show up, then it will be an open practice day at the track. I did get the OK to set up a parking area on the right side, which would be good since we can control the traffic. And if you can bring your shade canopies, that would be great.

Any other suggestions, please let me know.
