You doing some sort of HDR on these? .....maybe using a bunch of highlight / shadow correction?

Good eye, Blue. HDR on some of those shots. Shooting is a little tricky late evening. Went to 1600 ISO.
Used some exposure comp, and some lighten shadows in processing.

Any Blue suggestions are always welcome!

I'd skip the HDR and just go with some shadow correction. It brings up the blacks (shadows) without jacking up the rest of the shot. Unless you have HDR down......which I think about 3 people on earth do, it looks like shit........looses contrast, phucks up the colors & white balance....etc. To me.....unless it's done right, it looks like a comic book. Personally I've never been able to pull off HDR that I actually like. However I do use exposure blending constantly in my RE stuff. It gives about 70% the same effect without all the issues. Only thing I get is some CA in the corners of some shots it I blend more than 5 shots.

Thanks for the input, Blue! I have been experimenting a little with the HDR stuff, and I agree that it really is not worth the time and effort! It does screw with colorization, for sure. Makes for a lot of yellows/golds. I am tending now to lighten shadows selectively, and am finding better
results using that technique.
