We need the observer (you!!) to go out there tomorrow afternoon and give us the lowdown. Right now it's looking like not much in the rain department for the area, so hopefully it should be fine on Sunday.

I think the OTMX staff may provide an Elsinore update on the site on Saturday because Mark Moore emailed me and said he is going there to meet with someone from the Elsinore staff and check out the track.

I just posted the following on the otmx site, you should try looking at that site sometime. It's occassionally very informative.

I was just at the track and the Novice (vet) track and mini tracks are open and there were a few riders on both.

The Novice track had deep ruts in some sections but it was not sloppy mud, and the berms were fine to ride on, this means that if it only rains as much as the weather channel says it might, AND they do not heavily water the track between now and Sunday, it should be good and easily rideable both days.

I mentioned to one of the Elsinore staff that it is supposed rain a little tonight and a little tomorrow after 12 noon and they said they would pass the info on to the track prep crew so they might use less water than usual for prep.

I plan to ride there tomorrow.

Also, they are having a stacyc race and a mini race on Sunday, and both of those tracks are next to the big parking section immediately on your left when you enter the park, so I suggest you get there earlier than usual to avoid a potentially very long line, and also if you want to park in that area.

PS -The track got nearly 2 inches of rain on Wednesday, I'm surprised it is as good as it is at the moment.

Yes sir, and if you go, you better bring the heat, cuz I just got myself a brand spanking new MX34 rear mud slinger, so you better bring your Elsinore A game...if you have one. 

PS - I havent told Ernie about my new acquisition yet cuz I want it to be a surprise.

The otmx race is on the vet/novice track. The iv track is a bit flooded and will likely be closed.

The track got zero rain or very close to it last night. My rain gauges are empty.  I should be there around 10 and will update then.

Mark went and checked it out this. Morning and said it is good to go. With practice today it will help with some of the wetter spots but should be real good for tomorrow.
