Bummer  :(  Lots of good memories from there. That's where the original F#!%kin' Chucky video series started    Did we have an International or 2 day race there one time ?  I was with Kelley when he was on his 65 for a 2 day race ? anyway we were spending the night. It started raining on the way there, we were in my old 78 Field & Stream C class, It started dumping so I told Kelley to make sure the big vent over the top bunk was shut all the way,  "Uumm Dad there is no vent, just a 2 foot square hole in the roof".....    Okaay then guess were getting wet    Sucks to see another track go

Those were great times for sure, Fawkin Chucky was a memorable part of my racing life.

Chucky

It's a name you earned

I learned a new mountain biking term today, "Exposure"    It's a tricky way to say "Off camber and slippery on the side of a cliff".  "Do NOT brain fart in this section"    :o

THAT DOUBLE AND I HAD A BAD DAY  :x

There were a couple guys in my class that would jump it, and a bunch that wouldn't. One race I was really thinking about pulling the trigger, then I watched Carl (Powell) come up short right in front of me and actually bounce off the ground, bounced like in he hit the ground and bounced back up into the air for impact #2.  After that it was off the list, I'll make up time somewhere else thank you

Well, I'm waiting to get my rear wheel back after bending the rim.  I jumped a concrete drainage ditch and clipped the edge of it when I landed.  Cush Core may have prevented that.    :?   I've never run them but I am definitely contemplating it now.

I have been running them for a while now and won't leave home without them.

I rode on the new tires today (without cush cores) They were noticeably better. I had them at 20 psi, probably going to order a set just because everyone I've talked to that runs them likes them. Plus heaven forbid a month or so goes by without buying some new goodie

I've noticed when I have the psi where I like the front feels like it wants to roll off the rim on faster g out corners, I'm running Butcher T7's, which one of my trainers told me is "A beach cruiser tire" "You see those marks on the side ? They mean something"

I run Butcher Grid Trail T9 front and Butcher Grid Trail T7 rear.  As long as I don't hit drainage ditches I've been happy with them.

Eta on your rim ?
