header getting hot fast?
« on: December 26, 2010, 08:41:12 AM »
I started my bike after it sitting for a few weeks. Started fine with no troubles but within 30 seconds the header pipe was ridiculously HOT!. Not glowing red but very very hot within 30 seconds. Is this somewhat normal? What could cause this?

probably due to: sitting on a stand, choke on, fast idle, no air flow to cool it.

probably not bad but I certainly don't let that happen.

Come on AJ, its coming straight from the motor and there is no way to cool your bike down while its on the stand!

shut it brent!  :D its honestly just something I have never noticed before. The header was burning off whatever it had on it and was smoking which lead me to notice this. You know my luck with motors...I am paranoid haha
