86-87 for me......and it sucked
I remember the smog was so bad some days you couldn't see the tower from either end of the runway. However there was a fun place to ride on the other side of the freeway.
I had fun, 19 and I can Drink on base
as for the rest of my tour I was in Korea in 85 and Michigan (KI Sawyer) in 86. It was the best time to be in the service (The Reagan Years)

In the past Nick rebuild my YZ250 (Piston and Porting) great bike, He just did my YZ250F and that thing is awesome. looking at having our 09 YZ250 (Son's bike) hop up and I wouldn't hesitate taking it to ProValve

A stock 125 outrunning a 450 at Glen Helen? Really? Had to be the riders then.
He has great cornering speed, I got him on a YZ250 now to help him get over the bigger jumps.

I bought my son one and once you get the jetting work out. They work great. I watch him pull 450's at LACR and Glen helen on that thing (stock) 
Also Mike over at ProValve does great engine mods that makes them really rip too

I need a back tire that can survive my son, The problem is within 3 to 4 rides he ripping off the side knobs. I usually run 404, MX51 or 756 and we only ride tracks. Any tire suggestions, I can't afford buying him tires every month.
