Some aftermarket levers don't allow the master cylinder piston to extend all the way out. You end up with air behind the piston and as a result, when the piston draws back, it never completely drafts enough brake fluid through the fill holes. Youre only talking about .020" of travel here. But that can be the difference of exposing the fill port or not.

I guess it was the line.  I bought a complete assy. off Craigslist so he just mixed matched the parts and got it back.  Can't wait to ride it this weekend. I miss the 125!

The brake line is probably failing internally. Ive seen them balloon over a 6-10 inch length of the line. When that happens, its impossible to get a decent lever.

After you've exhausted all this other stuff, replace the line itself.

Well he used the original line I had on there so maybe it wasn't,  all i care is it works now
