Foam rolling or SMR then stretching would be the most effective way to loosen up your hips. The pain is likely caused by your hip flexors (Psoas, Rec fem and Iliacus) being over active (muscle fibers not releasing like the others). Self Myofascial Release can be pretty Awkward especially with people watching but it's the best recovery tool.

Did you just tell him to give himself a facial?

not that great of a school i went there for about a year and they didnt do anything to help with job placement, the classes were packed 6-7 students working on 1 bike. if you miss 10hrs of class you fail it and have to pay to take it again. theres really nothing you do there that you dont do in your own garrage. its a really basic motorcycle course. imo not woth the $18k i paid to go.
