Mechanic for side by side near fallbrook?
« on: July 29, 2022, 08:49:53 PM »
Good friend of mine needs an engine rebuild on a Polaris RZR 900. She is new to off-roading.

Sounds like rod knock and there's metal shavings in the oil.

If anyone has a recommendation that would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

That's what I said! I also said if she floored it, the noise will eventually stop

I bought a RZR XP900 with a bad motor. Rod knock too. I bought a remanufactured motor from Rev6 and it worked great. I would do that before I’d try and have it rebuilt.

The rzr 900 we bought used came with a 1000xp engine in it. Maybe worth upgrading if she is going to spend a good chunk of cash anyway.

Previous owner had it done at benchmark performance.

When in doubt...Gas it!
