MX tech talk / 2015 Yamaha Yz250f randomly cutting out...

My buddy has a 2015 Yz250f that suddenly started cutting out on him. It will run fine, then shut down.  The engine was rebuilt by a very reputable guy. He has a mechanic looking in to it, but I'm wondering if there is any known issues to look at?

Can anyone tell me how many full turns the hi speed adjustment on the shock will go?  I have a 09 shock and it only turns 2 times... It's been worked on by Enzo, but two turns doesn't seem right...

A buddy has filed down grooves in his clutch basket and now has about 1/16" of rotating play between the plates and basket. Is that too much?  It a 02 honda cr125.  He mainly rides mx....

So I pulled my forks apart from my 2006 rm250.  I separated the comp adjuster unit to empty the oil. I noticed the spring has some free play of about 3/8" . Is this ok or should it be  in contact, top and bottom ?  There is a nut on the bottom that has been peened. The shaft is also partially threaded with a nut on it above the valving. Can this be adjusted to take up the free play gap?

2006 Suzuki rm250. I just redid the bottom end. Cases are together and I thought I had the clutch side assembled correctly. I had it all buttoned up and wanted to use the kickstarter to rotate the motor. I noticed the kickstart shaft was rotated to the wrong position. It has one broad spline to locate the kickstarter. It was on the bottom, opposite of where it is supposed to be. It has a ratcheting noise going on too.
How much tension is on the coil spring?  I'm sure I just have something out of alignment, but I can't figure out what?
Anyone with experience with this?  I have a manual but it's not really detailed about the starter....

I just got back from riding Tapia. The bottom section has been graded by machinery.  I hear antonivich wants to turn the place into an equestrian center.  He had some sort of horse ride there . So all the trails cut and made by mtn bikers are getting stolen.... This is the same thing hikers did to dirt bikers with sections of the pct.

I have a 2005 rm250. it seems to have an unusual amount of vibration and I found both fore and aft and in n out freeplay on the flywheel. I'm guessing it needs a rebuild. I'm a decent garage mechanic. Should I attempt it or send it off to an expert? Rocky Mountain has videos ''how to'' bottom end rebuilds. Looks pretty simple ... but ?
What exactly is done? Crank bearings? Crank? Seals?
