She was interviewed about the incident.  She didn't get "waved" across the track.  She said she did the same thing in the 250 race and she didn't realize how much faster the 450's got there vs the 250's.

Bottom line is she stepped onto a race track with a race going on and didn't even bother to look in the direction racers would becoming from.
